Developing financial discipline for our men and women in uniform.
How do you improve the financial health of a mobile audience like the military?
USAAEF has certified financial planners and experts in financial literacy, creating a variety of content regularly, but needed a partner who could effectively organize, package, and deliver all that content via an app.

Challenge
Develop an app with a strong mobile-first ethos that feels at home on a mobile device with easy navigation.
While they intended to focus on all stages of the military career, they specifically wanted to make sure they could reach the 18-25 demographic.
Easily digestible content that was relatable and understandable with a very thoughtful approach to remain engaging.
Solution
Our work to resolve the challenges the client was experiencing are as follows:
Using a dedicated focus group effort, Sweb was able to work with USAAEF to recommend and execute an app with an easy to follow structure that was easily able to deliver on the video and written content the organization was putting together.
The app was developed for the iOS and Android ecosystem of native apps.
A custom CMS for managing content was built atop the organization's existing WordPress website so content could be managed more easily through a single CMS - pushing to web and mobile devices.
The development of custom calculators to provide additional value to app users there served as an interactive “hook” to keep users coming back as they progressed through their financial experiences (i.e. car purchases, loans, home, etc.)
The work Sweb has done with USAAEF has had a long lasting impact as the innovative design that started with this project served as the foundation for additional work across several of their other properties which Sweb designed, built, and maintain on behalf of USAA.
