1. Amazon Launches Monthly Video Streaming Service

Previously only available to Amazon Prime members, Amazon is now opening its own standalone video service called Prime Video, which will be available at a monthly rate.

2. Facebook Might Soon Let You Earn Money From Your Posts

A new user survey from Facebook recently explored the idea of allowing users to accept donations in their posts, either as a way to earn income or donate to charity. Although this feature isn’t a certainty, it has a lot of people speculating on what this change would mean for online publishing.

3. Facebook Messenger Now Lets You Make Group Calls

Among the number of updates Facebook has made to its standalone Messenger app, users can now make group voice calls with up to 50 people. Although you can make one-on-one video calls through the app, that is not yet a feature for group calls, but it’s really only a matter of time before that happens.

4. Instagram Adds New Page To Its Web Version For Discovering People You Might Know

The online version is Instagram doesn’t offer nearly the same usability as the mobile app, but if more features continue to be added, it may just become more accessible to those who don’t normally use it. This latest feature allows you to discover people you might know right on your desktop.

5. Google Is Turning Its Search Engine Into A Live TV Guide

You can already search for your favorite TV shows to find out where you can view them online, but with Google’s forthcoming update, you will also be able to see which channels they’re airing on.

6. What’s New In WordPress 4.5

The first major WordPress release of 2016 features theme logo support, better previews of site icons, and an improved comment moderator screen among several other improvements.

7. MTV Cribs Is Coming Back As A Snapchat Series

The resurgence of the popular 00’s show is set to take place exclusively on MTV’s Snapchat discover channel. This time celebrities will take you on a personal tour of their abodes sans camera crew.

8. Swarm Now Lets Users Check-In Without Sharing Their Location

The mobile check-in game from Foursquare just added an update that allows users to check into locations privately without notifying all of their friends. The most obvious use for this feature? Playing hooky on your sick day.

9. Giphy Launches A Full-Fledged Android App

Android gif-lovers can rejoice now that Giphy has launched a standalone app just for Android (iOS users have been enjoying theirs since October). No more feeling left out of adding that hilarious dancing cat gif to your group text.

10. Pinterest Just Totally Revamped Its iOS App

Although the overall look of Pinterest’s app hasn’t changed drastically, the app has been rebuilt from the ground up, optimizing it for faster loading times, and it now supports 31 languages among some other minor changes.
