Qantas Vacations, a distinct brand under Stella Travel Services USA and licensed with Qantas Airways, is the market leader for leisure travel to Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands. Qantas Vacations wanted a complete redesign that would draw on the strength of their brand to clearly communicate what they offer clients: incredible customer service to reduce the stress of travel planning, unparalleled knowledge of their destinations, and a site that would evoke emotion and trustworthiness.
Their main needs were a visual refresh, overhaul of content, updated UI and UX improving user-friendliness, and a new custom CMS. With 50% of bookings coming from the website, Sweb completed a deep-dive analysis to meet all objectives while maintaining brand continuity and high-ranking SEO. Sweb developed a front-end fully-responsive site and a custom CMS allowing Qantas Vacations to manage hundreds of pages of content. Using a Model-view-controller with Ember.js to connect the CMS to front-end templates, allows Qantas Vacations to house massive amounts of information without sacrificing the speed and organization of the site. To ensure that Qantas Vacations did not lose their overall SEO rankings, Sweb implemented Brombone and carefully re-wrote copy.
Launching soon, the end product is a beautiful site that takes potential travelers into an experience, communicates Qantas Vacations’ trustworthiness, and displays contact details and “Book Now” calls to action prominently across all pages.
